It's been a while. I've been quite busy with the club, as well as a lot of other extracurricular activities. Autumnfecht is coming up. Other than that, our club has met with Historical Fencing of York in the time between last post and now. This is a boon to our members, as we can see how we measure up outside of our little bubble. It's nice to make friends as well. Not everything needs to be weighed in gains and losses. Most things shouldn't be. The majority of the club has gear to spar with now. This is also a boon, in that we do not have to continue with compliance only. It also allows a stronger sense of what HEMA really is, as a combat sport. There was something I wanted to write, but I can't seem to recall exactly what it was. General sense: we keep moving forward and growing, eventually we will find a space, the club is developing well in skill and the ability to convey it.
